Dear MembersThe next Business After 5 is on Tuesday 20th July from 5.30pm - 7.30pm at Keri Copy and Design, 98 Kerikeri Rd. Please bring your business cards. A great opportunity to network and promote your business. All businesses who have advertised with the Radio Network under the Club contract will go into a draw for a holiday for two in Samoa in November. Your advertising must be fully paid up and you or your representative must be present to be eligible to win. Annual General Meeting Tuesday 24th August - venue to be advised. Irwin Lawson - Enz of the Earth - has been co-opted on to the Committee to replace Martyn Palomeque who resigned last month. CHAPLAINCY PROPOSAL FOR THE SMALL BUSINESS SECTOR OF KERIKERI The new Pastor at Kerikeri Baptist Church is offering the small business sector of Kerikeri a free chaplaincy service which is a confidential workplace centred support service. ILLEGAL SIGNS CLAMPDOWN FNDC has advised that a campaign is to be mounted on illegal signs in the Far North to counter an upsurge in the number accumulating on roardsides, particularly on the approaches to urban areas such as Kerikeri and Paihia. Kerikeri businesses need to increase their presence. The 2010/11 Visitor Guide to go through to end of RWC The KKDBA is discussing more promotion of Kerikeri in the Northland Visitor Guide and promotes advertising in this publication to our members. Copy deadline - 13th August Cruise Ships - There is a meeting about the 2010/11 Cruise Ship season on 23 August at 10.45 - 1pm Scenic Circle Hotel EVENTS We have decided to postpone the Ladies Day planned for late July The Certified Builders Trade and Home Show is on at the Centre late August DIVINE DAY OUT - Bride and Groom Expo - 25 September, at the Centre. Half Marathon and Street Party 20 November Bay of Islands Ocean & Orchard festival - Kerikeri Domain - 24th February 2011 Information Centre We need more volunteers who could staff the centre for one half day per fortnight. The Centre needs to be fully manned from September through to April. FNDC has supplied and erected the I-site signage and application has been made to the Community Board for funding towards a computer, printer, and volunteer training. Disputes Tribunal Referee, Far North region - Nick Blake, has offered to talk to members about what the Tribunal is all about, how to bring a claim and/or what to do if a claim is brought again you.
