Our current focus is split between the following projects:

Expanding our Christmas decoration programme.

Investigating the Business Improvement District (BID) alternative.

Ensuring adequate parking for the future.

Setting up and staffing a new Information Centre in Kerikeri.

Organizing higher profile, more informative, signage at the entrance to the town, such as large maps & murals.

Investigating funding options to purchase surveillance cameras for the town centre.

Working with tourism businesses & organizations to promote the Bay of Islands name & brand.

Addressing the issue of high rates and rents.

Helping community groups to promote themselves & their events, particularly where the KKDBA can expand these initiatives to the benefit of the town and community group.
